Sacha Siani is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Geography at Indiana University, Bloomington. His research focuses on understanding social-ecological systems by linking in-depth local-scale field research with geospatial analysis of regional-scale landscape change. Siani holds a Master’s degree in Remote Sensing from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), Brazil (2016), and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental and Sanitary Engineering from the University of Taubaté, Brazil (2012). Research interests: Land System Science, Social-Ecological Systems, Remote Sensing, Spatial Analysis, Institutional Analysis. Geographic areas of specialization: Amazon, Atlantic Forest, Brazil, Latin America.
